Fuel Pump Install Question HELP ASAP
Ok I took my fuel pump out the other day because its dying on me. Apparently the entire thing sits in the gas tank with the positive and negative wires.
The positive has a little rubber bit covering it. Im sure fuel still gets in somehow.
IS THIS SAFE? (I have to know before I blow myself up)
As long as the negative and positive don't touch, they shouldn't ignite the fuel right? (gas shouldn't conduct electricity?)
Thanks

It's best to actually solder the wires where the connect at the top of the bracket, but I just did what Spencer did, and I haven't blown up (knock on wood). I would like to go back sometime soon and solder it though just for the peace of mind it would offer.
