Failed Emissions
Well, i just got back from the inspection station, they failed me.
At first i was laughing, because he goes "sounds a bit loud!"
Then at the end he said I failed.
NOT due to noise, but because of NOx ... Nitrogen Oxide (nope not nitrous lol)
Anyone familiar with this problem?
He said sometimes it can be caused by:
lack of a cat, hot engine, lean air-fuel
... i can't figure out wth it is.
Only thing i have done is cut my airbox.
Some -- any help would be greatly appreciated.

check ur egr and your timing and cat
see if your cat gets hot enuff
check your egr hoses see if theres a leak and tryin do it agen some wher else the guy could of messed up too by not warming up the car enough
NOx is when its too hot mostly when it is lean and wen its overly rich
show your test results

well, i drove for like 25 min. before i went, it only cooled for like 5 min. then he started it and let it warm for about 10.
I'll check that stuff out tomorrow.
I'll post my results up tomorrow too. They are in the car, don't feel like getting them. :-p
