Dyno #'s. (built sr20det)
First, I'm sure many of you know this motor as I've had pictures of it up on this site and other 240 sites for more than a year now. For those of you that don't heres a few small pictures so you can see.
Next, my main point: The car will be hitting the dyno by the middle-end of May. (if everything goes as planned) I already have a good idea, but just wanted to see you guys' thought. Any estimates on how much hp she'll put down? I can't wait to find out. Here's the final mod list as it currently stands:
Performance Modifications to the car and motor
BLOCK
Also: Yes, the pistons are 9.0:1 compression, even with the 1.5mm headgasket....it's a long story....also, neither of the 2 manifolds pictured above are being run on the car. The ones listed are being run. I just haven't had time to update a picture of the motor to show it's current state. I've got high expectations...I'm hoping at the worst it will put down 500 to the rear wheels...Hope I don't get let down. That being said, let's hear it!

.
I'm pretty set on getting an AEM EMS. I've heard the power FC is a ***** to tune b/c of the commander unit. I head they do have laptop software but it's not available in the U.S. So AEM's plug and play affair is looking pretty tempting.

Plus all the tuning it allows. GJ on picking the right unit. You should be able to boost moderate numbers even though you have moderate CR. I respect you running moderate CR with boost instead of pussying out and going forlower CR for boost. You should be making great numbers.

Naw, sorry to get your hopes up it's still chugging along. The shop is taking their sweet time with the Exhaust manifold/downpipe/IC pipe combo. But I have pretty much everything else except for that standalone to complete the setup. It looks like the schedule has changed though, I'll have the motor (with all of the mods) in the car within the first week of June. That's the only time I'll have time to put it in. So it looks like she'll be dyno'd and I'll have the real #'s for sure before the last day in June. So I promise you this much...The next post that I make that says "Dyno numbers on my built SR20" will be the real deal....and I hope to god they're in the 500+whp range on a Mustang dyno..not just a dynojet...but a mustang dyno.

I thought people might want to see comparisons in dyno results between the VG, and the SR. The SR remarkably can compete very well, and I thought people wanted to see some dyno result's.
Also people in another general forum thread are crying that an SR or VG turbo set up, won't beat a Ford Cobra mustang, BOY did I prove those winer's WRONG......LOL
