drill out flywheel pin? dangers?

in the process of removing flywheel pins one snapped in half just a little more then flush with the flywheel. i've tried drilling into the pin but its still not budging. i don't like the idea of leaving a half broken half drilled pin in my flywheel, my only solution at this point would be to completly drill it out with a bit the same size or a little bigger than the flywheel alignment pin hole itself. does anyone see a downside to this? any other ideas for removal?

with the hole you have drilled out can you get a tap remover in there? the tap remover may be able to get a bite on the pin, and then you could pull it out. the only other option is to drill it out, btu you have to be careful that you dont drill ti off to the side and enlarge your hole. if that happens then you wont be able to use it. of course you may eb ok with 2 pins but if you can help it use 3.
