dented oil pan?

dented oil pan?

i have a dent in my oil pan(sr),and its about an 1/2 inch deep and 2 in long.it on the side so i cant simply knock it out w/o makin a hole.so do you think i should get another one like greddy or whatever?

If you have the money go for the greddy. But if you dont, i dont think it should harm your oil pan at all.

i had a bad dent on my oil pan... i mean bad... take a 2x4 and hammer it out and you will be fine...

well i do have some cash saved and i might buy the greddy instead of a bov .ill just have to wait another month

If you wanna save a lil money you can just dent it out, but be gentle!! My friend did his and it came out good. At least you save some money

You might want to heat it up a bit when you hammer on it.

I would go with the greddy to be on the safe side.

lol you guys... dont bother heating it up... grab a 4 foot 2x4 and a hammer and have a friend guiding the 2x4 and pound out what you need to... but go ahead and use up money for greddy oil pan...it look s great anyway and its the first mod everyone can see...

It is baffled and does hold more oil. It also has a sensor bung for oil temp. Those are three benefits.

I agree it doesnt sound like the dent is masive or anything 2x4 and save the money for better things.
