cylinder head

anyone know of a good cylinder head (more rigid and better flow) for the s13 KA?

Only two I know of available are the truck KA heads and the 240 Ka heads. The heads themselves were the same just the 240 had a much more efficent intake manifold. If you looking to make the head flow better your best be is to have it cleaned up a little. A small port would be nice, I wouldnt recommend anything to radical unless you gonna go all out on the head.

i'm planning on going turbo and thought i'd replace the head with a more rigid one. i'm rebuilding the bottom end cuz the engine has almost 100,000 miles on it.

Nah, Just rebuild the head you have already. A good valve job, springs and a good set of cams would be a nice start.

my friend got a new head for his cabriolet for $700. seems like a better deal to me to spend a little more and get something i know is going to hold the pressure. what do you think?

Yeah, but he spent 700 bucks for a stock replacement head. For that or a little more you can rebuild the head you have now to a higher spec. Just make sure a good machine shop does the head rebuild.
