Check engine light???

I ordered a JDM cluster for my 1995 automatic 240sx. I put it in myself today and now my check engine light pops up. Here is exactly what I did. First I disconnected the battery, then I took my old cluster out and dropped in the new one in. I noticed the JDM cluster was missing some bulbs so I took the bulbs from my old cluster and put it in the new JDM one. SOme of the lights that was missing from the JDM cluster was o/d (overdrive) I needed overdrive because mines an auto. ABS, Airbags and cruise was missing. So I took the bulbs from my old cluster to place it in. Put the battery back in and now I noticed the service engine is on and also, when I push the cruise control button the green cruise light in the cluster does not go on either. So I thought there was something wrong with the cluster, so discconnected the battery again, switch the bulbs back into the old cluster and and installed the old cluster. Started the car and the exact same problem as the new cluster. Cruise light does not work and the Check engine light is on. Did I mess something up? I even swiched the cruise light with the service engine light to make sure the cruise light was not burnt out, which it wasnt. If you guys can help me that would be great. Thanks

i think you have to swap a few sensors on the tranny. any particular reason you wanted a jdm cluster? i only see it as a burden to have kph reading

The JDM cluster set off the check engine light because of the transmission and the reason you have the check engine light also going off on your old one is because you now need to clear the check engine light from your ecu. I have no idea why your cruise light wont work.
