car feels slugish

car feels slugish

the only things i have are Apexi n1 catback, and an injen intake, i feel that after 5-6k rpms its kind of sluggish i drove my friends 2nd gen rx7 and it is STOCK and it incredible past 5k. is that just a thing with 240's??

i want to know if i can take a stang also, my friend is challenging me i want to know atleast some stats. on the stand vs my 93 240. i dont know if its a gt or base model i forgot but i just need som help, i prefer racing from a roll at the moment i cant get a good launch in yet.

the KA's power drops like a landslide after a little before 6000rpms. you should shift right before 6K when you're racing. the powerband is between 4100 and 5300rpm.

you gonna have to be more specific on exactly what mustang your friend has. what year/model?

idk iam a domestic dummy its one of the newer bodies, a little more boxy.

my car has 126,000 miles, does my intake and exhaust actually give me atleast a gain of 1 h\p with a motor this old with this many miles?? am i even close to the 155hp 160lb\ft torque?

well that would depend on the type of maintnance that was done on the engine through-out its life.
to be on the safe side give it a FULL tune-up.
down to O2 sensors.
distuib rotor and all those goodies. seafoam the fuel and oil systems.
get your timing up to par.
you'll bring back a few of those HP's.

an rx-7 turbo or non-turbo will hav a good topend...KA's as stated earlier aren't high revving motors so it won't produce alot of power after 6k..honestly if its any mustang that's 4.6 will rape u...u mite hav a chance against the 4.6L mustangs but i'm not sure wat kind of power they make

yeah my cousins 2nd gen is so different from my car, it has exhaust test pipe and intake and its amazing, it loves high revs something iam not used to with my 240 so it was a great experience lol. what about sr20's whats their power band?

i believe it makes good power till redline (7k) but i dunno alot about sr's...(**** i hardly no anything about nissan...just came over from honda) but i'm almost psitivie they redline at 7k

huge powerband for the SR20: 4k to 6k rpm. with mods it can be changed to 4k to up and beyond redline.

am i dreaming or something, i actually had time to fix the throttle response today, and i really feel a difference, the cable was really really loose and now its tight like a virgin but it has made an amazing difference, iam happy now whoohoo and when i was drifting my friend said he saw me poppin flames whooohoo, i must be the biggest ricer... ohh by the way does anyone know how to get the grass out from between the tire and rim, my friend was d'ing in the open grass and there are pieces of grass adn weeds stuck in between the mounts.
