to build or not to build?

Okay, I have about $500, and want to know what I should do. I have a 1989 240sx coupe w/ 172k miles on the ka24e. I've just replaced the head/intake/exhaust gaskets and such.

So what would be best... I can get a ka24de 90k miles (engine/tranny/ecu/wiring harness) for $450. Or should I spend the $500 to build up the ka24e, or what? maybe a cheap turbo setup, or can it not handle it?

I dunno bout the sr20det... everyone has them kinda thing... i'd rather go for the SOHC turbo, or DOHC turbo... only difference to me would be gas milage
