anybody buy from pdm-racing?

I bought some aurora ignition wires from them for 60.50 USD. The subtotal and total was 60.50.. no mention of shipping and handling. So i check my bank balance and they charge me $75.03 USD.

Anybody else buy ignition wires from them? did they charge you another 14.53 for shipping without you knowing? I was going to buy some stuff from them in the future but if they handle business this way, i don't think i will.

I spent a total of 77.53 including currency charges.

Hello,

I bought my high flow cat from them a little while back, and if I remember right they charged a little more than I expected for shipping. Sorry I can't remember details. They are in Canada though so that might account for a little higher shipping costs.

But even with that said, I would still reccommend them, they have good parts and seem knowledgable about the 240

I have ordered a lot of stuff from them. Knowledge is top-notch, service is good and the products are great.

That said, the shipping costs and transit time (a week or more the last time I ordered) are a little too much for me. I know they're shipping from Canada and the other coast, so I can understand the added costs... but I don't have to like it.

Wow .. i take it nobody reads the fine print!
I will be ordering the GPS Bodykit from them, I've already spoke with Don about fitment.

In the fine print, I believe in check-out stage, it says 'For a shipping quote, e-mail us. Otherwise, it will just be added to your account.' Or something along those lines.

They are a very good company, specializing in 240's and WRX's.

^^ of course not. But when you deal with any business regarding a shipment, they usually include a shipment quote, especially if they're sending internationally. I did read the fine print and I guess I was hoping they would still include some kind of shipping quote in the total.

Usually a total includes price of product, tax, shipping and whatever other fees. I was just wondering if this was just standard procedure with PDM or if i just got robbed 14 bucks. Thanks for the replies everybody.

There's really no way for them to give accurate estimated shipping from Canada.

The other thing they could do would be charge a relatively large shipping fee to cover their worst possible expense - but that would add even more to it.

I really wish they were closer and / or in the US.

Yes, it is their procedure. Its no rip off, that is why they ask for you to request a quote, b/c international shipping is always changing.

They are a great company, don't let this detour you.

Oh, it hasn't deterred me.

Don's kids braces are going to be courtesy of my purchases from PDM.
