Acceleration = rattle ?

ok i got a 95 S14. here is the problem. when the car sits at idle, the idle moves constantly. it bounces basically. Also another problem with the car is that there is a rattle sound when i push the accelerator down past and inch. Not to mention the accel pedal sometimes gets stuck and i have to stomp on the pedal to get it to move. What is up with my car and how do i fix it?

the problem with the idling could maybe be rough idling problems. i had the same problem but i just got new spark plug wires (pdm racing aurora 8.5mm) and the problem went away. Check your plugs, wires, and vacuumm lines, could be a number of things or could be just nothing

as for the pedal...WD-40????

Idle: This may sound elementary, but when is the last time a tune-up was performed on the car?

Rattle: Be more specific, where is it coming from? It could be as simple as an interior panel... depends where the noise is coming from.

Accel pedal: It's possible that your throttle cable may be binding. On my car when I bought it, the throttle cable was missing 1/2 of it's insulation and on occassion it would bind when I'd step on the gas. If that is the problem, I'd get it replaced immediately (you don't want that thing getting stuck on the floor!)... but also check the mechanical parts under the dash - see if the pedal lever is adequately greased, there's nothing getting in the way of its movement, etc.
