well, this has probably been posted before, but i just wanted to know where i can find info for the "zenki" and "chuki" RPS13s. and also other important need to know rps13 stuff.

motor. suspension types. ABS. etc.

 

For the JDM RPS13 right?
-There are 2 versions of the RPS13, the chuki and the kouki.
-The chuki came with the Redtop SR20 and the Kouki came with -the Blacktop SR20.
-The chuki had the Regular tail lights and the Kouki had the "type X" tails.
-chuki years is 91-94 and kouki years is 96-98

Thats all i can remember..i dont know that much more info

 

nah.. the USDM RPS13. b/c i've got a 70% chance of getting a zenki and i wanna know whats the diff between the zenki and the chuki generations.


i also want some maintenance sites. so i can keep my baby running fine up to 200k miles before i get a CA18DET.

speaking of CA18DET can someone post a site where they sell GREAT/Good condition ca18dets with good mileage. much thanks.

one problem w/that, bud. there ARE NO USDM RPS13's. there are a few threads that discuss Nissan chassis codes. when u say "RPS13", this is what it actually refers to:

* 91-98 180SX JDM
* SR20DET engine

not gonna go into details since, as i said earlier, the info is out there already (and JynX is hooking up the FAQ as we speak). don't take it the wrong way or anything, it's just that lately we've had a number of people come on here talking "RPS13 this" and "RPS13 that" (falsely), responding w/attitude when corrected, and then getting chewed up pretty good. i'd rather keep that from happening know what i mean? as far where to buy good CA18DET's, i can give u these for now:

i'm sure there are more out there, but those are the reputable sites that i know of. as far as 240 maintenance sites, i'm not sure if i ran across one in particular. best bet is to cop an FSM (or Factory Service Manual in plain terms). if u wanna know what's different between the zenki and chuki hatches, ur best bet is to search (i know, not what u wanted to hear). the only reason i say that is because i know i've seen it asked at least twice in the last three weeks. if u don't find what ur looking for, get @ me and i'll see what i can do for ya!

ill go to barnes and nobles some time next week and check out a manual on maintenance on the car

 

no prob! i think it would also help getting a real Nissan FSM. if u want it in hard copy, u'd be looking at $40-$55 used, and anywhere from $70 on up new (eBay prices). on CD (in adobe pdf format), u'd be looking at $5-$12 roughly. i've found the DOHC manuals online (in pdf format), but if ur for the SOHC, pm me and i'll put let u know where to find one.
