240 won't fire

ok, this is simple. what u have to do is take the spark plug from cly #1 out.
you need a 27 or 28mm socket to rotate the crank.
you can use an extra long screw driver or long extention. ( be careful not to scar ur piston) place it on the piston gentaly.
aigth next turn the crank until cly #1 is TDC( top dead center).
Next take the dizzy bolts out. then u will need a phillips screwdriver to take the cap off the dizzy. Now what u will see is the rotor botton.
the Rotor button should be directly on cly plug #1. if not take the dizzy half way out and carefully rotate the rotor button until its on cly plug#1. If piston #1 is at tdc. the dizzy will pop back into place. the car should fire if done correctly.

okay, i was finally able to get the damn thing runnin. i readjusted the dizzy (to where it was before the mech. worked on it) and i had to lossen the cam, because he went through and tightened all of the bolts without first checking the clearence. i used a feeler to set it properly, but it runs like ****. .
i unhooked the mass airflow, on the intake, and it runs but not very well. when i hook the sensor back up it dies. i unhooked the throttle position sensor and it has no effect on the engine.
if in fact it is the mass airflow, can i just buy a new intake? i checked the price for the sensor and it is about $500. i was planning on getting a new performance intake once the car was running properly. or does the performance intake use the original sensor?
