1995 240sx POWER WINDOW QUESTION

ok i drive around a 95' 240sx, base model. it has power windows, but no power locks. but ok, heres my question, my driverside power windows stop going up or down. i pressed the button but bam, nothing. but my passenger side window is fine. i opened up my door panel and heard a weird clicking noise coming from this white box, everytime i would press the window button you would hear it click, the white rectangular box looks like the relay switch or something, ive had this problem before but i would just wiggle the button a lil and the window would work. i wonder if anyone had this type of problem before, i need help. BTW, i checked all my fuses and all that and everything is still in tact and stuff. so anyone help??

I'm having the same problem. That box is the Power Window Amplifier. It's probably bad. But take apart your door switch and look inside, there was so much corrosion in mine it looked like dried up toothpaste. Most likely from rainwater over the years but anyway that had to be replaced too.

I getto riged it. I cut into the harness and extended a wire from 12v switched, Ground, and the two wires that go to the window motor and put male and female connectors on them. When I want the window to go up I connect it one way and when I want it to go down I just reverse the Polarity. It's ugly but I can tuck the wires into that recessed area on the drivers door and nobody knows its there but me. I'll take a pic if you don't understand what im talking about.

When it first happened to me I pulled the battery out of the engine compartment. Took off the door panel and saw the connector leading from the power window motor is just two wires. I pulled it at the connector clip and, I took speaker wire and connected my car battery directly to the window motor and it went up. Switch the connection and they went down.
