115?!?!

Yeah man, the only way to get around that is as rudeboy said. I hit that all the time man, and also the rev limiter at about 7000. The car is limited all over the place man. Need to get chipped is the safest way or SR that Bad Boy.
BTW does the SR also have a limiter?

YOu can get around the speed limiter by disconnecting the speed sensor - but then you lose your speedometer.
You can wire a switch in line so that you could do it only when you wanted to.
Apexi rev/speed meter also has speed limit removal funtions. I don't know if this will remove the 4th gear rev limiter though.
My 4th gear limiter seems to let me go fater than the 5th gear speed limiter though. Either way, it's a reminder that I really don't want to get busted at those speeds so I usually slow down.

most probably a speed limiter. most of those aren't even factory installed. dealerships sometimes reprogram the ecu with a speed limiter so they can get away with putting on cheaper tires that would bust at higher speeds.
my altima does that at 120... i feel it pulling nicely, even in the triple digits... then abruptly, it'll stop pulling and i'll level. JWT HERE I COME!

Umm... speed limiters are from the factory.
If you know a dealer around here that's re-romming ecu's I'd like to meet them. I only know of one Nissan tuner in the US that will touch the things with any success.
AFAIK, the factory speed limiter on the SE was ~117. There's not a speed limiter in 4th, in 4th it's a rev limiter. I'm not sure exactly where it is, but it probably lets you get a little over 117. At these speeds, I'm usually watching the road instead of the tach.

Don't worry a little rom tuning or a little sr20 swap can help take care of it all. The speed limiter is as Justin Said, factory installed, not dealer installed.
I know the rev limiter is like 7200 or so. SO that might be the cut in 4th, but i don't get all my speed in fourth, gotta go to 5 to get to the end.
