after reading other threads im leaning more towards doing an rb25 swap, not too much more for so much power and potential. a lot easier to hit 12s or better with that motor

the probelm is that finding parts are a bit harder with the rb also its gonna be a bit more costly from what i have found out. but i maybe wrong.

wouldnt it be easier to turbo the ka for drag? because i thought that the sr was mainly for drifting

We have a couple of customers running SR20 swaps at the drags.
1993 240SX HB Redtop SR20DET 3" downpipe and exhaust, SSautochrome mani, and 10 PSI resulted in a 13.6 on BFG drag radials.
1989 240SX Coupe Redtop SR20DET 3" downpipe and exhaust, resulted in a 14.0 on stock boost with some good street tires.
Both of these swaps were simply pulled from the clips and dropped in, stock piping and SMIC's with BOV's added. The biggest thing I see that keeps the SR20 from going faster is the gearing in the tranny, it's tall for drag racing.

i ran 13.2 with my sr.
3' downpipe
3'exhaust
test pipe
greeddy intercooler
hks cams
and stock boost.
My friend who has a bone stock sr20det in his 240 ran 14.1
so hyjynx dont say that a stock sr runs 15's because that is not the case. Maybe if the engine was running bad you'd see 15's but it should be better than that
