sr20det stalling
i just got my car driveable today and when ever i gun it and let off the gas the engine stalls but i think it might just be bad gas but if it is not does anyone else know why this could be happening. i also have 3 other little problems and they are, the speedo does not work and the clock and E-brake light stays on after i drive it.

Did you swap out the speed sensor from your KA tranny onto the SR tranny?
Check your MAFS wiring and o2 sensor wiring for the bad gas. When waking up a sleepy engine, it's fairly common for them to die a couple times after their first start. I just finished my second swap, and we got all freaked out when it died twice in a row. Third try, it idled like a champ.
And your e-brake, was the car sitting for any amount of time before you got your swap? That same thing happened to me about a month after I got my car running. Turned out to be a bad brake master cylinder. You can easily tell if it's bad, look at your brake booster, and if the plastic under where the master cylinder sits is corroded or marked or anything, you have a bad master cylinder.
Check that out first, then check dash wiring.
Good luck.

Speed Sensor is a round gear thing. You won't be able to see the gear until you pull it out of the tranny. Jack up the front of your car (jackstands too!) and look along the right side of your tranny. There will be a round metal part that is held in by one 10mm bolt and has a wiring harness coming off of it. You will need visegrips to get that bolt off because you can't get a socket on it, and it's on too tight to get off with a screwdriver.
Pull out that sensor, you'll have to wiggle it some to get it to come out, and then unhook the harness, and install the mph sensor from your KA tranny exactly the opposite.
WARNING:
tranny fluid will come out when you pull your sensor out. Probably a quart or so. I recommend a full tranny oil change at that time. Get some Redline MT90 75-90.
