safe psi on sr20

Im sure this has been answered once but i couldnt find it. I just bought a 89 240sx with sr20det red top. Having been a previous subaru owner our motors would allow 2-3psi increase with reflash or em. What would be a safe boost to be running. Or should i just leave it as is.

with the t25 efficiency drops at ~15psi... you can run that all day no problems. With a bigger turbo (and supporting mods) you can run a lot more

14-15 psi on a t25 from what i hear
17 psi on a t28 from what i hear
19 max on the stock head gasket (not sure)

make sure you hook up your fuel so you don't lean out and blow up.

not sure if you were mocking him, or agreeing... you can run 19, or more if its well tuned, and a good motor

yes, but i would be careful that your engine is ready for it... ie, compression test, all the injectors are good, etc etc

Stock motor good til around 19-20, headgasket could go anytime it doesnt matter really, good idea to get a metal one to begin with. like they said t-25 no higher than 15, t-28 16-18psi depending on tuning. And do not run above 10psi until you get a front mount!

enjuku.com has a custom one for $130, but i duno how good it is, im sure its fine if your not planning on a monster build, otherwise greddy and a few other companys have em, usually about $200. Just search some sites

first off youll need a lot more stuff than what you listed to reach 300hp. It depends on what you want, you could get high hp and sacrifice responce or get right at about 300 hp and have great responce, it depends what your gonna do with tha car, is it gona be a daily driver? track? drag? Any of the garrett dt 25/28 series would be good for that kind of power. The gt28rs (disco potato) is very popular for 300-350 hp range with good responce for that kind of power. But like i said youll need other supporting mods to reach that kind of power. Aslo the s15 turbo is good for it as well.
