At the risk of getting flamed...has anyone seen a detailed RB20DET install guide on the internet? I am trying to finanically plan for the swap, now that I finally have a car! If there isn't a guide on the net, there will be after I finish my swap!

The other alternative is asking a bunch of questions after I do a buttload of research!

Nismo, did you take any pictures of your install? And when you say the car handles differently, how do you mean? More prone to over/understeer? Different weight transfer characteristics? Help is appreciated, esp considering I am very close to buying a front clip.

I plan to strip some weight, do some weight relocation (battery, etc), then use corner-weighting to determine spring rates. Wouldn't this make for a decent-handling car?

I have a somewhat detailed 'guide' on the zilvia.net forums. But yeah I have a photo album with like 160 some odd pics of it. It's heavier in front and you can tell, but it's not bad, it pushes a little but more when it's wet out, but no big deal.

EDIT*** oops for got the link to the pics http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4290466361

The motor sits about an inch and a half away from the firewall measured at the cam covers. And the crank pulley sits a fist length away from the radiator.

I coudl have gotten away with cutting a small portion of teh skeleton out, but I cut out all of it instead. Now wishing I hadn't but you would only need to cut out a small portion of it.

the 8 dollar brakets will set the motor back but won't lower it.
the uh mounts were made shorter than the original mounts.
and they use the stock KA isolaters.

hood clears no problem. no mods are needed to the car at all.

and i also am available if any questions are need to be answered.
