RB20 Swap Guide Help!!!
#16
Basically what you'll need is
motor set, mount mount and tranny crossmemeber (Mckinney or Tophat), intercooler, couplers, t-bolt clamps, pusher fan, the stock KA radiator will work, walbro 255 fuel pump, and a downpipe. boost gauge would be nice. that really is the basics
If u have a S14 your driveshaft will work with the rb tranny. and the speed sensor from the KA will work on the RB20, but not the 25

From the swap guide I have read, you can use the KA starter plug, it's just a weak connection. Nothing a trip to radioshack can't fix. Just get some o-wire connectors and splice it in.
As for the rb20 -> s14, there isn't any writeups existing at the moment that Im aware of, only the s13. To make the swap work, you need to use the ka harness like said above, and everything should plug in correctly.
For s13 - should be similar for s13 as the engines are the same.
As for the engine harness, there are 4 wire that you have to connect to make it run.
The are off the fusebox. Use KA Fuse box connections and splice into rb harness, rb fuse box harness plugs are not used.
White/Purple stripe, Black/Red stripe, White/Black stripe Are on the 6 pin grey plug on the rb harness
White/Purple RB wire is a switched 12v source and connects to the ignition relay wire (white) off the fuse box.
Black/Red RB wire is for Ignition Power. This turns the ECU on when you start the car. It mates up to the black/red on the KA harness. It is located in a grey oval plug by the battery.
White/Black RB wire is for ECU memory. It mates to the Red wire on the KA harness. also on the same plug as above.
Black/Pink Stripe RB wire is for the fuel pump relay. This wire comess of the ECU harness itself, not a plug. Wire it into the KA black/pink on brown connector by battery.
Extend O2 wire and maf wires using shielded wires from the ka harness.
Dash wiring is the same color as KA/SR dash.
Make sure the 2 relays are connected to the harness.
