MAF extension took out my ECU... I think.
Okay, I had just got my SR20 going. Everything was working fine but the motor refused to rev higher than about 2.5k at part throttle and 3k underboost. So I investigated the MAF extension. It turns out my buddy who extended it for me doesn't know much about wiring and it was shorting out in there somewhere. When I pulled off all the tape, there were exposed wires at every connection. I'm like CRAP! and went and turned off the key and then took of the negative battery cable. Yeah, too late. Getting no power to the line you tap your S-AFC into pin 36 I believe. I check all my fuses and the 25a brown one in the main box labeled FL 25A ENG CONT. Was blown, put in a new one and nothing changed. When I turn the key to on, EVERYTHING works except for my S-AFC, and my fuel pump doesn't click on. I can't find any other fuses in the car that don't work except for one under the dash labeled ST. Signal. But, I don't think that is anything important.
The engine will turn over, all the accesories work, but I can't hear the fuel pump when I click it to on and it's a Walboro so I'm fairly certain it isnt' clicking on because I could hear it big time before.
I haven't checked any of the relays yet... How do I do that, and any other ideas besides that?

ouch dude...check and re-check your fuses. i had a stupid fuse go out on my 98 with sr. i didnt have any turn signals or hazards so i checked all the fuses and relays and everything. i took it to a place that does car audio and remotes starts and he pulls the hazard fuse replaced it and it all worked fine after that. god im glad i know the guy otherwise that would have been one expensive fuse!!! anyway, check them all again. im not to sure how to check relays though.
good luck

Bonney Lake? Cool a local guy! I'm up in Bellingham. If you got a clip try swapping the relays and see what happens. I don't think the ECU will turn on until the run position. It and the fuel pump should go at the same time if I remember right.

Alrighty swapped the relays and that worked, sort of. The ECU and S-AFC turned on again, but now it dosn't turn off with the ignition. They are just constantly on as long as I have the relays on, so I figure there is a problem there somewhere.
In the fuse box on the intake manifold side of the motor there are three relays EGI, EGI pump and some grey one. The middle of the three doesn't have power to the leads until the key is in the ignition and in the on posision. The other two have power key on or not. The grey one one the right(towards the front whatever) I'm not too worried about because it's a multi point relay and I think it's suppose to have power, but I don't think the green one towards the rear should have power with the ignition off like that though. Could someone check that for me?
