How hard is it to import a front clip from Japan?

I'm just got a 90 coupe and I want to do the engine swap thing. My question is how hard is it to import a front clip or a SR20DET engine from Japan? coz I have a buddy there in Japan and I think he can find me a really cheap and nice one. So would it be hard to import it by myself(not a company)?

no, it should just be shipped like anything else. it would come on a truck and be shipped to whatever address you tell them or him. and it might take around 3 to 4 weeks

you could get nailed in customs, ive heard about engines coming over from japan and not making it through customs so customs destroy the engine.
