Future Importing of Swaps

I'm looking for some opinions here. Our dollar is losing value horribly thanks to this jack@ss someone elected president. Do you as members of the club240 forum see pay increases to match with this inflation? What is going to happen if the Yen hits an expected high against the dollar of 95Y=$1?(it was 125-128Y=$1 when I started importing engines). If I'm posting in the wrong section sorry feel free to move if needed. Are people willing to pay $500-$600 more for swaps?

Can we have Clinton back......Pleeeeeaaaase?

I agree with you, I wish we had Clinton back, I choose Bush because I felt it was the lesser of two evils. There will really be no choice except to pay more for everything, including motors and clips. As I am in the same position you are, our customers are going to have to pay more and more if the inflation keeps increasing. Personally so far my customers have payed more because of shipping to the east coast, hopefully they will keep doing so. Please don't let inflation kill the hipe.

Yeah I was torn actually too, bush isn't doing any good but at the same time Kerry was going to raise tarriffs on imported goods which doesn't help either. I ordered another container because I don't want my money sitting here in dollars.

The bank was selling yen at 97.8 =$1 when I paid for our next container, so if you bought a front clip this summer or fall for $2000, expect to pay $2350 for it now. Thats how much our dollar has dropped in 6 months
