Hello! I have my car in the shop, and have the stock engine pulled, and I'm cleaning everything up to put the SR in. I want to take off everything to do with emission controll ( Were I live we don't have any emission testing). How do I go about doing this? will it effect how the engine runs? If any one has pic's or advise as to what to do please let me know!! Oh and if anyone knows a web site that says how to do this please post it.

You will want to take off the AIV unit. It has a input in the exhaust housing just below the turbo. After you remove this plug the whole with a large bolt. You can also remove the charcoal canister with its vaccum lines. This only serves emission purposes.

 

removing of all the emisions stuff will make you check engine light come on. this is corrected by and afc or some electrical tape on your dash. i would spring for the afc,
