Break in time for an sr20det

I am going to be dropping in my redtop s13 sr20det into my 90 hacth this week. Along with it i will be putting on greddy FMIC, ACT clutch, Walbro 255cc Fuel pump, GReddy 3' downpipe,
Apexi n1 catback exhaust, turbo xs type h-rfl BOV, and a Blitz intake.

I am exremely exited for this my new toy, however i was wondering how i should go about breaking in my engine? How low should i keep the revs? and since im not getting a turbo timer atfirst, how long should i leave the car idling before turning it off?
Thanks for anything guys.

Hmmm..first of all dont rev past 5500 a lot..you gatta break in the engine a lil first.A good break in period is 500 miles..after 500 miles make sure to change the oil and if u want to move to synthetic now is the time. As for the cooling time...does your turbo time have a automatic setting? It senses how long it should run and does it all by itself. You should let it run for a good 30-45 seconds...that should be good.

if you are not rebuilding it then there is no break in period.
just drive it for a day befor you go out to have fun in it.

just make sure of no leaks and burp it . run it 1 day then change the oil and cut open the oil filter look for metal. if it's clean put in redline. go have fun.

but if you have put on a new turbo then run it 500-600 miles.

there is no break-in period in an engine thats already been driven , but since it probably hasnt been run in a while it would be good to take it easy and treat it well since you dont want to shock the engine and blow out any seals that might have settled. just go easy on it for the first hundred miles and make sure to keep checking all your fluids. after that, go have some fun with it!

HELLOOOOOOO did anyone read that he has a NEW CLUTCH... make sure you resurfaced that fly wheel and drive it easy for atleast 500-600 miles and then give it some moderate beating... i know so many people who forgot they had a new clutch and freakin beat on it like crazy and now... spending another $350

lol there is no such thing as breaking in a stock sr20... it has how many x miles on it already?? the only things you are breaking in are some of your new parts...

yeah the only thing you gotta break in is the clutch. act recomends about 300 miles but id take it easy till 500 miles. one thing i would do is a complete engine flush. btw new turbos do not need to be broken in. oh yeah like jonas said resuface your flywheel. thats all you have to worry about doing.

I raped my RB20 the first time I REALLY drove it. After the swap I tested it and thgen wen ton vacation the next day. When got back...w00t tore that **** up and I saw no adverse affects. Since you have a new clutch though........I hate new clutches man. You wanna beat on your new found power and cant really get into it....
