anyone got a RB25DET installed?

I was wondering because I just thought, hey. perhaps I can put a RB25DET into my 240 instead of a SR20DET and get more power, but I dont know if I could pull off the install. I dunno how to custom make parts or anything.. Anyone got any info on the swap? I really dont wanna pay Unstable Hybrid lots of cash to do it when I should be able to. thanks.

i know a little sumthin about the swap. it is not as simple as the SR so do some serious research. be prepared to have your can down for a while. i can tell you this........when its done you'll make easy work of moderatly modified SR's

i have the power

the car is not my daily driver, and I expect it to be down 6 months more or less. so no problem there. I actually found another forum on accident that had a little info about it. The biggest thing I think is the wiring.

you could cusz the blocks are both the same size. then youd have to use an RB@% oil psn and tranny. you could use an SR tranny too. the main thing is the turbo's. they'll try to occupy the same space as the steering linkage. convrt to single turbo.

To put an RB26 in you need a RB25 oil pan and tranny. Plus it'd be hard to squeeze in 2 turbos and make an intake and exhaust for them. So it's just easier to use the RB25.

RB25DET Install

Hi,
I have done the RB25DET swap, so I can give you any info on it if you need it. I have lots of pics of the swap and valuable information, plus it isn't too hard compared to the SR20DET.

the most official reason the go RB would be POWERyeah you can make power with an SR, but look what you have to do to get there. in order to get serious power you have to upgrade almost everything.
with an RB, you can use stock everything(including injectors, intercooler, turbo) and make upwards of 400hp
EASY
try that on your SR and you'll be waiting a couple weeks to get another one

I was wondering if anyone who had done the RB swap would mind telling me about how much they ended up paying in the end. I know its a little personal, but i'm a little tight for funds and trying to decide between the SR20 or an RB25. Also any info approx time for the install and the install price would be greatly appreciated. The swap would be for 95 240, thanks in advance.
