dammit, these are some nice *** CA18 swaps. Makes me wanna reconsider the CA over my KA-T project.

Did you guys do the swaps yourself?How much was it altogether in the end? (motor running in car)

did the swap myself, comes out to prob 2500 after everything if u wanna make sure u wont have issues... best way to keep it cost efficient is really to get the front clip that way u can really just use everything from the clip. little stuff like thermo, water pump, and gaskets need to be fixed also.

In my search for a 240, I found a guy who is fixing to sell his ca18det hatch. How reliable is this motor? If something does break or wear out how hard is it to fix? This motor isn't as popular as the sr20 and I'm a little weary for that reason.

Nah. It's pretty much mine. He's just having the car repainted this weekend and I can pick it up sometime next week. I'll post pics once I get it.

Pulsars came with a naturally aspirated version of the DOHC CA18, i would say 80% of the parts are interchangable, at least the parts that u would worry about needing to replace are interchangable, theres a lot of good knowledge out there and to be completely honest the internet is where ive attained a large large percentage of it, i would start at ca18det.org and make my way from there. Hope that was some help.
