VLSD output shaft/drive axles: 5 bolt? 6 bolt?

Can someone explain to me what is the difference between 5 bolt or 6 bolt VLSD output shafts once and for all?

I see ppl selling 6 bolt VLSD out of a 180sx, and then i see ppl selling 5 bolt VLSD out of z32 and R32. And i was reading the guide on how to install the VLSD, it said it was 5 bolt.

240's have a 6bolt pattern. If you get a 5bolt u need the output shafts. Hopefully that clears it up. or this might will. http://www.ka24development.com/vlsd.html
