LSD and Coilover questions
Two questions. first off, i don't want to have to drive around on an open diff in my 240. i want to drift!!! does anyone know what i should use if i want a strong diff, but shallow pockets. also i want coilover suspension. What should i get. i saw somewhere on this site that there was a group buy in option for D2 coilovers, but i have never heard of those things. Can anyone help me???

As for a cheap and pretty good LSD go for a VLSD or maybe a phantom grip Those are cheap...like 200-500
And for cheap coilovers...theyre really isnt such a thing. There are D2 and mokeeh coilovers for like 600 bucks...no one I know has tried them out yet so im not sure how they are. Next up are probably Tein HAs...and Ground control coilovers are not good.

Yessir, who said you needed an LSD to drift? I'd suggest to learn how to drift with your car as it is (and don't tell me you're pro already because you bought "Drift Bible"). Save the LSD when you're comfortable with how your car drifts "open"!
As for coilovers, I just wanted to elaborate on what Jynxman said... the GC's aren't really "coilovers" but more like add-ons; if Drift is your gig, you'd be much better off with some proven stuff, like Tein or Apex-i (just to name a couple). the D2 setup is cheap but I've never seen any user writeups on them.

i know what the difference is between real coilovers and simply adjustable springs (like ground control) i just didn't know if anyone had tried the d2s. also the phantom grip is junk. i used them on one of my previous cars(greddy turboed integra gsr) and the drivetrain was thrashed by the thing(tranny fell apart) i was told that some 300zx lsd would fit.

Any R200V VLSD will fit with the right pumpkin and output shafts

I kinda have the suspension question going on in two different places, but anyway, here's my latest question:
OK I think i might settle on an aggressive spring/shock combination. i used kyb agx's on one of my previous cars with an H&R race spring and it had a great aggressive feel to it. Can someone tell me what the best spring/shock combos are?

I swear I just answered this a few minutes ago...
KYB AGX / Tein S-tech
KYB AGX / Eibach
KYB AGX / Whiteline
That's my opinion for "spring/shock" combo. Ask 100 people on this forum and you might get 100 different answers.
