OK!

Now that the manifold is just about through testing. I am going to need YOUR help to get it into production. This will not be a very high volume piece, I know, but we need to be able to justify it to the owners of AMS. The only way to get the manifold to the quality level that you would expect from us, is to cast the runners. This is not an inexpensive process, and requires tooling to be made. So that the cost is not astronomical we need to make a significant amount of them.

I am going to need 5 to 10 people to put down deposits to get these made. Once I can justify the costs to the owners, the manifolds will be available for regular sale as a stocking item.

I will need the deposit to be about half the cost of the projected price of the manifold. The projected price of the manifold will be $1500 give or take. There will be a wait time of about 2-3 months from the time we set the wheels in motion.

If anyone is seriously interested in having one of these manifolds for their car, we will need your help to make this thing a reality. Please send me a pm or email me at chris (at) amsperformance.com

The Manifold will fit under the hood, it will have curved runners.

Don't curved runners consume more energy to move and travel atmospheric air molecules through the runners rather than straight runners???? I thought that was one of the many reasons you guys did away with the stock KA24de manifold due to curvature, plenum, and runner diameters.

Plenum size and runner length are more important than the shape that the runners are in. We expect to see little, to absolutely no difference.

That is the coolest thing since sliced bread.

I do not sell it outright, I get it though my machine shop who installs them for me.

It is basically an insert which is cemented in the block which is stronger and has the most surface area for the clamp load possible.

When you drill and tap your block, you do not have the most surface area possible for the threads to engage because you are working with less material to start with. With the thread serts, this is eliminated.

Is the "thread sert" the same thing as a Helicoil? The helicoil is a steel insert which is installed into an oversized, drilled and tapped hole for additional strength and longevity. I suspect they're two trade names for the same thing, just wondering.

Your products look great.

Nope!

This is not threaded into the block, but cemented some how, it is a kit that is meant to be installed by a machine shop.

It is the same principle as the helicoil, but stronger.

240smoke...this thread is an year old... with that said you might have better luck calling them or looking on the website. I've been to their shop they are a few minutes from Touge Factory.

To answer you're question no it's not in production.... not on their site GL with your options
