this might sound dumb but did you make sure everything is plugged in??? and did you disconnect the ground on the radio when you removed the dash??? i would check these things first... then start on the fuses...

did u get a wiring harness and connect it through that or did u cut the oem connector and try to connect it that way? if u need the wiring diagram for it go to this site http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/...13&type=Stereo

grounding a high power head unit thru the antanna adaptor is not such a good idea... the antenna most nissans have is called a dual diversity antenna... yes it like all car antennas are grounded to the body of the car... but there is a black wire on that high dollar head unit you bought for a reason... i would never suggest that you ground the deck with any antenna... take the extra time to ground the black wire to a metal part under the dash...

alright found out what is was. Thanks for your help guys, but it turned out to be my amps they both blew, gayazz clarion stocks, and a fuse. Does anyone know how to rewire the speakers so they are directly wired to the head unit?

you can run wire or bypass amps (looks like there's another post about bypassing and i know i downloaded a diagram a year ago).
i know when i installed my aftermarket it didn't work, i found i had a bad ground or something, grounded directly to the body at the shifter plate and no problems

Just browsing through this thread, I noticed I seem to have some of these problems also. I tried replacing my factory unit with an upgraded 6-disc in-dash cd player from an '04 Frontier. This unit did not power up until I placed the new head unit into the dash. I did not get any noise out of my speakers, so I re-installed my stock radio. I also noticed it would spark when the unit hit a metal component of the car....wierd huh? This also occured when replacing upgraded head unit with the factory.....same thing. I have replaced many head units, as well as some of my buds. We have never seen anything like this. Does anyone know what is going on or why it could be doing this. Oh yeah, and for some reason my factory radio, FM only, it will play just fine and just lose all reception!? The illumination display works for a while also and then go out, until I punch it then it works again. What the hell is going on? Somebody please help....... I like listening to CD's, but not all the time, especially since I can not play burned CDR's.
