is it possible to fit 6x9's in the front doors? rear deck?? it would be soo much cheaper than buying 3 way comps and i'd get the midbass that need.

s13 or s14? if it's a s13. coupe or hatchback?
No, you cannot fit 6X9's in a s13 fastback front or back, they plain won't fit. I have 6X9's in boxes in the back seats, and am doing 5.25" components in the front. Thats sufficient midbass for me, and have 1 12" for the deep bass. that combined w/ the tweeters will have a good overall sound without just bass.

front: plain wont happen, rear: maybe

i too have an S13 coupe.
6x9's will not fit up front they would be way too deep.
but with some cutting of the rear deck yea you could get them in the rear.
in my opinion some good 6-1/2" 2-way components in the front will work great with some good 6-1/2" two way coaxils will work great in the rear and thats what im planning to do.
infinity 60.5's in the front and infinity 62.5i's in the rear.
75wrms to each speaker.
also three 10" audiobahn soundQ's in the trunk with 2400wrms total between the three.
just my $.02

Isn't 3 10's overkill? I'd rather 1 12 and 2 10's, the 10's hit crisp as heck but not deep enough for me. I'd like to do like 1 12 and a couple 8's or 10's.

Infinity speakers are awesome, no doubt about it.

well....

well.. yea i would normally agree, but these subs are ment to be run in threesoms. they are dual 6ohm subs so when wired together they equal 1ohm all together which is perfect for the amp i have, giving each sub 800wrms. plus i an get the three for about $315. later when i have more money im going to get two 10" XXX's 1200wrms each wired at 1ohm they will work great with my amp once again but they are around $815 for the pair and i just cant spare that kinda money for subs right now.
i like the sound of the 12's better also they tend to get a lil deeper but for the kind of setup i want i couldnt fit two 12's in my coupe. as for mixing different sized subs. it isnt all that easy to do and get them to sound good. all the subs of different sizes need to be in seperate chambers and be X'ed over at different points otherwise you will get major cancelation. they would also need to be on diff amps.

yeah, thats a pic of my 240sx back when I lived in Missouri.

The headlights are upgraded with H4 bulbs, then the infamous clear corner turn signals, as well as some Canadian daytime running lights below those w/ h4 bulbs, and then the Mercedes clear side turn signals on the side.

actually you can install 6x9's up front and they will fit just fine. the kid i bought my car from had installed them and they didnt look too bad, however i put in 6 1/2" components instead. but 6x9's will fit, its just top-mounted on the door panel. and no they werent ghetto rigged because the speaker hole in the door was large enough to accomodate a pretty large kenwood 6x9.

for sound quality though, 6x9's just plain suck. get yourself a quality set of components and you will enjoy the sound much more.
