Antenna Adaptor...

Is it possible to install an aftermarket radio w/o an antenna adaptor in my S14. I already have a regular antenna end to plug into the headunit, but I was wondering if I could splice the diversity antenaa into the regular antenna. I dont think anybody near me sells the adaptor and I do not want to wait for shipping. Thanks...

Well chances are that no one near you sells the stuff you need to make the splice. It's not that easy. The regular end is a coaxial style cable. It has a center conductor and a jacket. Both need to be connected.

All you need near you is a best buy or a circuit city. They both have them is stock at all times. The adaptor is used on almost every nissan. Any local stereo shop (if there are any) will have them as well. It's one of the most common parts out there.

If you are going to Circuit or Best Buy, they should use METRA as the company for their parts. 40-NI10 is the part number for that company. Scosche is the other most common company and I believe the part number for that one is NNAB, but I'm not positive on that.

Hope that helps,
Jesse
